Wholesale Channel Sales Director - East

This is a field-based position and the selected candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the east coast. 

Reporting to the SVP Sales, this person will drive the continued growth of our Wholesale channel, largely made up of commercial/industrial Plumbing, Heating, Mechanical and HVAC Distributors. This is a highly visible role overseeing approximately $250M in revenue.

This person must be highly knowledgeable in the commerical/industrial space, with deep technical sales experience, and a track record of creating strategies and processes that improve bottom-line results.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and Execute short and long-term sales and demand generation strategies to generate new business in the Eastern Region Wholesale Channel
  • Coach, train, and mentor Sales and Business Development Managers
  • Provide direct support on major opportunities, participate and offer executive presence during  presentations to key clients
  • Manage departmental P&L to assure company goals are met
  • Influentially represent the wholesale channel across internal business units
  • Develop sales processes and sales metrics.
  • Analyze cost of sales and expenditures and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare/present sales reports and forecast
  • Work with S/VP to define/refine strategic direction
  • Conduct performance appraisals
  • Assist RSMs in resolving customer issues and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline, Advanced Technical/Engineering Degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of successful sales leadership performance in the commercial industrial space with accountability for at least $100M in annual revenue
  • Experience leading sales, marketing, and BizDev teams 
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret highly technical, customer specific requirements and issues
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and personable demeanor
