Director of East Coast Sales - Industrial Products

This position can be based anywhere on the East Coast, U.S. 

Reporting to the SVP Sales, this person will direct and manage the East Coast Wholesale channel.

We are looking for someone with a technical background and a successful track-record in the industrial manufacturing space to take on this highly visible role managing one of our largest revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and Execute short and long-term sales and demand generation strategies to generate new business in the Eastern Region Wholesale Channel
  • Coach, train, and mentor Sales and Business Development Managers
  • Provide direct support on major opportunities, participate and offer executive presence during  presentations to key clients
  • Manage departmental P&L to assure company goals are met
  • Influentially represent the wholesale channel across internal business units
  • Develop sales processes and sales metrics.
  • Analyze cost of sales and expenditures and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare/present sales reports and forecast
  • Work with S/VP to define/refine strategic direction
  • Conduct performance appraisals
  • Assist RSMs in resolving customer issues and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline, Advanced Technical/Engineering Degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of successful sales leadership performance
  • 5+ years experience in the industrial space 
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret highly technical, customer specific requirements and issues
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and personable demeanor
