Customer Service Manager - Paints and Coatings

This role requires 5+ years of experience managing a customer service team, preferably in the Architectural or Construction industry.

$100+ million manufacturer of specialty paint and coatings is offering an outstanding opportunity to a customer nad team oriented Customer Service Manager. You'll be responsible for building and managing a team of 10-12 customer service reps, to ensure customer satisfaction and the continued growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and coach a customer service team with a can-do attitude and a fun, engaging culture
  • Develop training and development program for CS function
  • Conduct performance reviews, coach, mentor, train, and discipline as needed
  • Prepare annual performance appraisals and recommend merit increases and salary adjustments
  • Develop and improve internal process to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Senior Management to align departmental policies with company goals and objectives
  • Oversee customer interactions and issue resolution to ensure quick problem resolution
  • Provide feedback on product, procedure, and other issues, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Assist customer service reps with special situations
  • Compile customer feedback and assessments
  • Provide analytic data on customer service issues to cross-functional department managers

  • 6+ years experience managing a high-performance Customer Service team in a manufacturing business
  • Demonstrated success building and managing successful teams
  • Experience making presentations and leading meetings
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success meeting objectives and managing in a fast-paced environment
