Technical Service and Support Manager - Paint and Coatings

This role requires 5+ years experience and advanced technical knowledge of Architectural Paints and Coatings. 

$100+ million manufacturer of specialty paint and coatings is seeking a customer-centric individual to join our Technical Service and New Product team.  This person is responsible for troubleshooting, answering technical questions, handling customer issues and other technically matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Product and Application questions from customers and sales
  • Investigate issues and identify root cause - report results and potential solutions to appropriate colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customer service, sales, production, and customers to assure high-quality and customer satisfaction
  • Take a leadership role in defining new product requirements 
  • Establish competitive benchmarks for new products
  • Lead introduction of new products to market

 

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in Architectural Paints and Coatings industry
  • Experience working directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and continued business
  • Ability to travel locally to visit sites and help resolve issues
  • Sense of urgency in resolving customer issues and supporting company interests
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proven track record of meeting customer expectations
